Cuttriss - Chairman of the Board
Nicolas Cuttriss, a Washington D.C. native, attended Georgetown Day School in Washington DC and graduated from the University Pennsylvania in May ’02 with a BA in International Relations. Nick co-founded AYUDA Inc. with friend Jesse Fuchs-Simon after witnessing the overwhelming lack of education and awareness surrounding diabetes in Ecuador in his freshman year of high school. Nick’s work with AYUDA includes participation in diabetes camps throughout the Americas, recruiting American youth to volunteer to act as agents of change for diabetes, advocating for diabetes support abroad, and working to bring diabetes leaders throughout the Americas together. Currently, Nick has recently graduated with an MD/MPH degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Public Health.
Jesse Fuchs-Simon, a Washington D.C. native, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. Jesse was a Fulbright Scholar in Ecuador from 2002 to 2003 working on a World Health Organization research protocol involving Type I diabetes. Jesse has guided AYUDA's activities in countries through out Latin America and has been organizing educational programs for children with diabetes since 1994. Jesse is currently completing his law degree at the University of Pennsylvania.
Adam Ross has been a member of the AYUDA team since January 1999. He grew up in Minnetonka, MN and graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in May 2000. After graduating, Adam moved to Ecuador in order to strengthen Campo Amigo Ecuador and support the local diabetes community. Since receiving his Masters degree from the Kennedy School of Government in 2006, Adam has been working in the Human Development Network at the World Bank, where his responsibilities include the design and management of rigorous impact evaluations of key health and education projects.
