An Analysis of Data On Ecuadorian Children With Type 1 Diabetes In a Camp Setting

Click Here to download a copy of this research that was presented at the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Conference 2006 in Cape Town, South Africa, which is a review of campers’ diabetes records who attended CAE’05, held in Ecuador from August 13-August 19, 2005. Using camp medical records and HbA1c levels (pre- and post-camp) as a measure of glycemic control, we have found camp to be effective both in the short-term and long-term in improving diabetes management in children living with diabetes in Ecuador.
